What an amazing film, this is! The only true comedy to ever win an Oscar for Best Picture, “Annie Hall” has become one of the most significant films of the last half of the 20th century as many films drew upon Allen’s creative approach to plot structure, low-tech special effects and quirky character development.
This film is as valuable and challenging to analyze as was “Vertigo” in its own way. Enjoy, too, all the cameos by actors who were at the time relatively unknown (Christopher Walken, Jeff Goldblum, Sigorney Weaver…).
