A Woman Like Me
As a person who cannot see very well without my glasses on, I have always had a fear of losing them or worse yet, going blind. But, can you imagine what life would be like if you were blind and deaf? I can't. But this short film introduces you to two such women and the joy – and pain – they find when they finally meet somebody just like them.
Thunder Road
There's awkward, and then there's this film. Oh, my. It's funny, but wow is it ever cringeworthy, too.
Enjoy.
"Sight"
Is this the future? Is it happening now? Yikes!
"This is when we met"
This is such a great example of how to tell a story using film! But, the crazy thing? It's all of about three minutes long! THAT'S IT! How did these filmmakers do it? Well, it's often been said that the essential elements of any good screenplay are THEME, CHARACTER, and PLOT. This film has it all. The THEME addresses the essential message of the story, or answers the question "What is this film about and what is the filmmaker saying about it?" Of course, the characters are the key vessels of the story. And, the plot is how their story unfolds. Sounds simple, but it ain't easy!
So, what do you think of this film? Does it have the essentials? Does it do a good job even though it's quite short?
"Jim Carey: I need color"
Wow. Jim Carey is a comedic genius, but I didn't have a clue that this was something he also excelled at – painting. This is a great example of how a short film can give us an intimate glimpse into another person's life in a profound way.
