"I acknowledge that the place where I teach – Mountlake Terrace High School – sits on the traditional homelands of the Suquamish, Stillaguamish, and Coast Salish peoples. This land was taken by colonizers using the Treaty of Point Elliott, which to this day has never been fully honored. I also recognize all 29 tribes throughout Washington state.
